Bhagirathi Murulya Meets Satish Jarkiholi, PWD Minister Assures Sullia Visit for Road, Bridge Review

Sullia MLA Bhagirathi Murulya met Karnataka Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Satish Jarkiholi and submitted a memorandum seeking necessary funds and action for the development of major roads and bridges in the Sullia Assembly constituency.

The memorandum highlighted several key demands, including the development of the Todikana–Patti–Bhagamandala road, release of funds for the Aranthodu–Markanja–Elimale road, improvement of various PWD roads across the constituency, and construction of several bridges. The MLA urged the Minister to consider the infrastructure requirements and take up the pending works.

Responding to the memorandum, Minister Satish Jarkiholi assured that he would visit Sullia on September 26, 2026, to personally inspect the Maithadka–Panjikallu bridge and the Todikana–Patti–Bhagamandala road. He also said that discussions would be held with the concerned officials and further action would be taken based on the site inspection.

MLA Bhagirathi Murulya said continuous efforts would be made to secure the required funds and bring forward road and bridge development works in the constituency. The proposed inspection is expected to provide further clarity on the infrastructure requirements and the next steps for the identified projects.
