Temporary Online Classes Suggested by PM Modi to Save Fuel

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged government and private offices to encourage work-from-home arrangements and virtual meetings in order to reduce fuel consumption amid the ongoing West Asia crisis and global energy concerns.

Addressing a programme in Gujarat, PM Modi said schools and colleges should consider temporary online classes for some time. He stressed the importance of reducing unnecessary travel and promoting digital communication to conserve the country’s energy resources.

The Prime Minister appealed to citizens to consciously reduce petrol and diesel usage in their daily lives. He encouraged greater use of public transport, electric buses, metro services and carpooling as practical steps towards fuel conservation.

Highlighting the role of technology, PM Modi stated that digital platforms have made many tasks easier and can help minimise travel needs. He also renewed his “Vocal for Local” call, urging people to support Indian-made products and strengthen the nation’s economic self-reliance.
