ABVP Protest in Mangaluru: Police Detain Activists During Demonstration Over Student Issues

Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest in Mangaluru on Friday, demanding immediate action on various issues affecting students and the education sector.

Gathering in large numbers, the protesters raised slogans and urged the government and concerned authorities to address long-pending student grievances. ABVP leaders highlighted concerns related to educational facilities, student welfare and other academic issues, calling for prompt intervention.

As the demonstration intensified, police personnel intervened to maintain law and order. Several protesters were taken into preventive custody and later moved from the protest site. The situation remained under control and no untoward incidents were reported.

ABVP representatives warned that if the authorities fail to respond to their demands, the organization will launch stronger agitations in the coming days.
