Holi Clash in Delhi: Youth Tarun Kumar Dies After Assault, Tension in Area

New Delhi: A 26-year-old youth, Tarun Kumar, died after a violent clash during Holi celebrations in Uttam Nagar of New Delhi, creating tension in the locality.

According to police, the incident reportedly started after a water balloon thrown during Holi celebrations accidentally hit a woman, which led to an argument between two groups and later escalated into a physical assault.

During the clash, Tarun Kumar sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Following the incident, protests were reported in the area. Some right-wing groups alleged a communal angle behind the attack, while police stated that the investigation is still underway.

Authorities have registered a case and deployed additional police forces in the area to maintain law and order. Officials said strict action will be taken against those involved after the investigation.
